Busy Mum, to Bridal Fit, and… “in the best shape of my life”.

I have been training with Simon for nearly 18 months and have experienced his bootcamp/WOD classes, online coaching and PT sessions. I would highly recommended these to anyone looking to get into exercise and fitness.

I had the goal of changing my body shape and losing body fat in the run up to my wedding this summer. All the training, support and advice Simon gave me allowed me to reach that goal and I felt amazing in my wedding dress.

I received digital one to one feedback to home workouts that I completed in my home gym, allowing me to workout in my own time and improve technique each week. Simon provided clear macros and a calorie goal to suit each stage of my training, including nutrition tips along the way. One to one PT sessions with Simon allowed me to progress even further and have the confidence to increase weights and reach personal bests.

Overall, the accountability, structure and feedback Simon has provided has encouraged me reach each goal and feel in the best shape of my life! Thank you!

I signed up for online coaching with Simon with the goals of losing weight, building strength and training for a long distance swim event. Simon made me a personalised workout and nutrition plan which worked around my work and home life and was specific to my goals. I am so pleased with the results - my clothes fit better, I've lost the excess weight I was carrying, I have more energy and I completed my swim challenge. During lockdown my routine changed like most people; and not for the better! When I went back to work, I just couldn’t find the motivation or the time to exercise. As a consequence, the tone of my body changed massively. I decided to go to Simon as he’s local and I could visit him for a PT session in my lunch break. Now, I’m not the most eager person when it comes to exercise and, to add to that, I have issues with my back. I would also much prefer a pinot noir to a plank, however Simon kept me motivated by making every session different. He worked with me to ensure I was doing everything right to avoid injuring myself further. He also pushed me (in the right way!). I have seen a real difference in my body shape and that’s more to do with Simon’s encouragement and knowledge than my enthusiasm! Simon has many regulars and that’s testament to his work ethic, knowledge, character and results. Can’t recommend him highly enough. Incidentally, I’m still having the Pinots but doing the planks too!!

I asked Simon for his advice to get ready for a cycle over Cambodia and Vietnam - I'm so glad I did. Over 5 weeks, Simon turned my views of strength training completely. I hated doing weights previously and was purely cardio but I soon was converted. The training was invaluable to my trip and after a bad year with covid, Simon's coaching helped me massively physically and mentally.

The Pt sessions were well planned and he really explained all exercises well and ensured they were done correctly and safely. His advice was fantastic and I really enjoyed the WOD classes too which complimented the PT sessions.

My teenage son, Lewis and I have been going to Simon for approximately 18 months. We participate in Boot Camp, WOD classes and PT sessions on a weekly basis. Simon’s sessions are constantly evolving and take account of our strengths and weaknesses. We have seen a marked improvement in our strength, build and abilities. Simon also provides balanced nutritional information which we use alongside our sessions.

"I have recently completed my first 12 week programme with Simon Kerr Fitness, and have been extremely happy with the results to date! My goal was to lose body fat, gain muscle, whilst maintaining my overall body weight. I can confidently say I have achieved this, and therefore continue to train 3 times a week to build on the success of the initial programme. With the individual mentoring that Simon provides in relation to training and nutrition, I feel that this constantly keeps me motivated to attend the training each week.

My life is somewhat busy - juggling full time employment (including out of hours on call duties) and being a Dad to three young children. It had been all too easy for me over recent years to not engage in regular exercise, blaming my busy daily schedule as an excuse, and being “too-tired” after a long day. I had joined numerous gyms over the years, but was never able to maintain the enthusiasm or motivation to keep up attendance, all whilst paying the expensive monthly membership subscription. The advantage of this approach with Simon is the private one-to-one personal training provided. It eliminates attending expensive gyms, (usually just to queue for the equipment to become available in peak times!). Knowing that time and effort has gone into developing individual training plans tailored for your needs, for me, encourages attendance every time and keeps me motivated.

With access to a great app, sessions are easily booked via your smartphone and training sessions can be reviewed and progress charted. Any questions posed to Simon via the app are responded to quickly, again giving that personal touch.

“I used to swim and exercise in a gym every weekday morning before lockdown and had never considered having a PT; in fact I would say that I never really thought a PT would be any more beneficial than what I was already doing - how wrong! I started on Simon Kerr's 12 week programme in November and have just signed up for another. Simon is great to work with and actively encourages and pushes you to go further to achieve results. He spends time demonstrating and talking you through exercises to make sure you are moving and lifting properly which I have found incredibly helpful. Using the PT app, has also allowed Simon to review and comment on my diet which I have also found advantageous as I wasn’t eating enough to sustain the increase in exercise. I am now fitter and stronger than I ever imagined I could be and will definitely continue with Simon as my PT beyond lockdown. “I would like to say a big thanks to Simon at Simon Kerr Fitness for what he has helped me achieve. I thought a personal trainer would just give you some exercises to do, but it's actually a lot more. I have tried to go to the gym on my own and also tried different diets, and nothing worked. I know you have probably heard it all before, about how it is a lifestyle change, changing how you exercise and how you eat. Simon has taught me more than that over these twelve short weeks, so much so that I have signed up for a whole year with Simon.

It's so easy to say that you can't do it, because you have really bad knees, back pain or asthma, but sometimes the "I can't do it" is really "I don't want to do it." Two years ago I had surgery to remove worn cartilage from my knees, and look at me now! It's really simple to start, you tell your trainer about any health issues or struggles that you have and they tailor a regime for you. That's why it is called a Personal Trainer.

This won't work if you do not have the will and desire to do it, however Simon is there to help you with the motivation to succeed and also help you along with the training and dieting programme.

For me this has completely changed my life and I will only achieve more. I can't thank Simon enough for the time and effort he has put into me and what he has helped me achieve!

“I started training with Simon at the end of September 2020 and it’s been the best thing I have done. I have always been fit and motivated but I had certain goals I wanted to achieve and without the one to one from Simon I was struggling to achieve them. I was a bit of a cardio junkie and Simon has helped me focus on becoming stronger using weight training which in turn has helped me take minutes off my running and cycling times. My ultimate goal is to be a triathlete so my training plan has been designed to help me be strong and powerful in all 3 disciplines.
